Commercial Space Week 2023
– Chris Dorsey, March 17th, 2023
Commercial Space Week (CSW), is a premier gathering for industry experts and researchers to discuss both on-planet and off-planet solutions to improve our space travel infrastructure and software. It includes the Space Mobility Conference, SpaceCom, and Global Spaceport Summit.

Quidient exhibited at the Space Mobility Conference and SpaceCom, where Brandon Turley and Chris Dorsey presented recent results from Quidient’s partnership with the U.S. Space Force. Quidient is helping the Space Force develop a persistent In-Space Servicing, Assembly, and Manufacturing (ISAM) capability, using the Quidient Reality® Platform to create photorealistic digital models of orbital objects. Quidient Reality provides a game-changing capability that will support and de-risk ISAM, Space Domain Awareness (SDA), and sensor fusion to develop orbital signatures, rendezvous and approach planning, and asset maintenance. Quidient also overviewed dual use applications in other sectors, such as automated visual inspection of hail damaged vehicles and military aircraft.
In addition, the Space Force announced the most recent round of Direct to Phase II contract awardees, including Quidient’s Rendezvous and Proximity Operations Reconstruction Tool (RePORT). As part of its Phase II contract, Quidient will provide the Space Force with the capability to have (1) up-to-the-minute virtualization of the target spacecraft; (2) precision reconstructions of docking/grappling points; and (3) highly-accurate modeling of non-cooperative target objects.

Paired with its multiple Phase II contracts with the U.S. Air Force, Quidient is helping the DoD build its digital future. The Quidient team looks forward to further enhancing Space Force operations to make our skies safer, our orbital space cleaner, and our satellites more capable.
